brisbane on the A330 |
The destination was Brisbane and we assembled a small group to take this "First Flight". SQ255 to Brisbane also marks the 25th anniversary of SQ's Singapore to Brisbane service. The SQ Airbus A330 features the same Economy Class seat as their Airbus A380, and has power outlets in the armrests for laptops etc, an iPhone/iPod connection, a 26cm TV screen in each seat and the acclaimed KrisWorld choice of in-flight entertainment. The Business Class cabin features a seat which converts to a fully flat bed similar to the SQ A380 product. |
We will had Kelly &Isabelle onboard plus a whole crowd from the SQTalk forum. Almost all were Business Class this time so that's one cabin who didn't getting much sleep overnight to Brisbane! |
And true to form, we organised a "gathering" in Singapore... on Sunday 29th March, 2009 at The Lobby Court Bar, Ground Floor, The Swissotel The Stamford, 2 Stamford Rd, Singapore. |
Singapore Airlines is "First" again! (No real surprises there!) SQ will flew the first of it's new Airbus A330 fleet on its "official" first flight, SQ255 on 30th March, 2009. |
After our customary celebrations we "poured" our lucky SQ255 team onto their aircraft for their party flight to Brisbane. More details, and photos from the flight will be posted here as they emerge. |
