At long last the Flying Kangaroo now has the Airbus A380 amongst its fleet! On Monday 19th October, 2008 QF93 departed Melbourne for Los Angeles as the Qantas A380 inaugural flight. The aircraft has been named "Nancy Bird-Walton" in honour of one of Australia's pioneering airwomen. And another famous Australian was aboard, none other than our very own Isabelle Chu! Isabelle had clocked up more inaugural A380 flights than anyone else on the planet. She is now, quite rightfully, in a class of her own! Congratulations Isabelle! Can't wait for the photos! |
